Do you have a minimum number of guests?
No​, but we have a sales minimum of $1000 for cooked on-site events on Sat & Sun and $700 Mon-Fri. For delivered paellas the minimum order is $175.
Where does the cooking take place?
The cooking is done onsite and preferably outdoors (size of group dependent). We bring everything needed to cook and serve everything fresh at your event. Dependent on which tapas you order if any, we might need use of your kitchen. Otherwise we set up our own portable kitchen outdoors. We can cook anywhere without the need for electricity. For delivered paellas the cooking takes place in our commercial kitchen or close to your delivery location if that distance is father than 45min away from our location in Oakland.
How much space do we need?
It really depends on the size of your event. A general guideline would be 6×5” for events of about 30 people, 8×10” for 50-75, 10×10” for up to 100 and then larger for anything over that. We have a lot of experience working with limited and challenging spaces so please let us know before hand to schedule a site visit if needed.
How is the food served?
We typically serve buffet style for the paella and platters for tapas (unless passes tapas is requested). Guest really enjoy walking up to the beautiful paella pans where we serve straight from the pan. They are always welcome to watch the cooking process and ask questions during the process.
How long does it take to cook the paella?
Typically it will take between 60 to 90 minutes. We prefer to arrive onsite about 2 hours before the paella will be served in order to set-up and begin cooking. Keep in mind that once we add the rice to the pan 30 min before serve it is best to serve the paella right away when it is ready.
How long will your staff be on-site?
The chef will be on site between 3 and 3 1/2 hours. Once the serving is complete our cooking team will be onsite 45 minutes more to continue to serve the guests that are coming back for seconds and to do general clean up of the area.
How far do we travel?
We can travel anywhere. We have done events in LA and in Portland. There is a travel fee of $2.50 per mile for events beyond 20 miles from our location. Charged one way only.
